This album will reflect the style the fans and fellow musicians felt best suited Sarantos as he veers into a classic mixture of 80s rock merged with today’s soft rock and pop music. But before fans fantasize about the other songs that fit his unusual style, Sarantos thought he’d make the first song and album title a new age song. With his background as a youngster in the church choir, this Enya-type of song is a soothing and relaxing venture. Close your eyes and feel Sarantos powerful vocal reverb literally vibrate one’s entire body as fans become vested into the pure emotion of this new song.

By the end of this CD, I feel like the fans will know so much more about me. So here we go…

Sarantos music has received rave reviews and he relishes this chance to pursue his life long dream. Sarantos unique sound has been best described by industry insiders as “an emotionally powerful vocal style masterfully united with music that is a fusion of classic 80s rock blended with modern soft rock and pop music.”

Sarantos was nominated in 2014 for 2 awards for the 2014 International Music & Entertainments Awards for the categories of Rock Song of the Year and Pop Album of the Year.

Sarantos has been writing lyrics since 4th grade and is passionate about the words he puts to the music. Music was always in his blood. Music was always a passion and much more than a hobby. Sarantos has written over 2,000 songs. Having undergone several personal challenges with Sarantos’ father passing away four years ago after a long hard-fought battle with lung cancer, dealing with personal health issues like asthma and allergies which affected his singing style, going thru life’s ups and downs, the timing was finally right. And so it began. Sarantos main motivation remains, however, to raise money for charity.

33% of any music related sales are going straight to charity.

Sarantos has always been inclined to help people in need and is proud to launch his music as a way to donate a portion of proceeds to charity, hopefully inspiring other artists to do the same. Just a few of the charities chosen so far include the American Cancer Society, American Lung Association, Make-a-Wish Foundation, American Heart Association, St Jude’s, Hellenic Academy, American Red Cross, Salvaton Army, Children’s Hospital of Chicago…

24 Year Old Musician Stung by Enslaved Bees

Santa Monica, CA (PRWEB) June 10, 2013

Kristin Center, a 24 year old musical genius and environmentalist, recently took up the daunting cause of educating people about the Slavery of Honey Bees. Through her catchy and lyrical think music she has begun to tell the world about abuses and muses. In this case its the plight of the dying, and humble, honey bee.

Theres no doubt that the honey bee is in danger, says Center. They have been dying en masse since around 2006 and from what we can tell, there’s not one exact cause. There are, of course, the usual suspects; pesticides, disease, and natural predators like the verroa mite. While Center recognizes those causes, she also sees something more insidious.

Throughout history the bee population has gone up and down. Thats nothing new. What is relatively new is the fact that humans have basically started enslaving the bees and were trying to bend their nature to our fancy. Center is referring to the practices of Migratory Beekeepers that transport millions of bees across the country in order to pollinate crops. One of the largest crops is the almonds in Central Valley, California. Every year nearly 60% of the nations bees are collected in their hives and loaded onto flatbed trucks to be shipped to California.

Bees have become a commodity; like cattle, says Center. Yes, bees pollinate our food. But a lot fewer farmers and beekeepers would care about the honey bees dying if they werent losing money. Because of the long practice of farmers growing single crops over thousands of acres, there is often a lack of resources to pollinate the vegetation. Therefore, bees are brought in to do the heavy lifting of pollination. Once the bees work is completed, the exhausted bees are shipped to another location to pollinate another crop.

The stress is too much for the bees, says Center, Many of them die along the way or in holding. Its just not even close to the way we should be working with bees. Center believes that humans can be synergistic with the bees and still have something similar to our monoculture. Center, along with others, have suggested that farmers raise a variety of other crops on parts of their land so that the bees can remain in one place. Farmers could host the bees permanently on their property year round and build a synergistic relationship with the bees and the beekeepers. This would be a major change from the way weve previously been farming, but our current methods are only going to get more and more complicated, and more and more expensive.

Center has started a project on the Internet at to raise money for her new music project and to raise public awareness about the plight of the bees. She wants people to know that bees are not slaves and that we can work together. She is promoting, Respect for all, through empathy for a few. In this case the few are honey bees.

Kristin Centers past awareness projects have included co-founding a program, Classical Open Mic, in Dallas, Texas, to bring classical music to unexposed and low-income areas. She also spearheaded an initiative for the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) to donate hundreds of environmental newsletters and magazines to California Institute for Men, a prison in Southern California. Another accomplishment was lobbying for environmental magazine, Onearth, to become a part of Santa Monica librarys standard collection; a yearlong project. Top Christian Bands Ring in New Year at Liberty University’s Winterfest

Lynchburg, Va. (PRWEB) January 02, 2013

Liberty University welcomed 2013 with its annual Winterfest, a two-day new year celebration chock full of explosive concerts, inspirational speakers, and exciting activities.

Guests also enjoyed all the recreational amenities Liberty has to offer, including indoor sports, rock climbing, swimming, ice skating, and extreme winter sport activities at Liberty Mountain Snowflex Centre, Libertys year-round snowless ski slope that is the first of its kind in North America. As if that were not enough, the festivities included two nights of concerts lined up with some of the biggest names in Christian music.

More than 7,000 flooded the Vines Center for the events kickoff on Sunday, which opened up with beats and rhymes from rapper and Liberty alumnus Humble Tip. Jamie Grace then took the stage for a soothing set of melodies. Audiences were surprised when headliner TobyMac joined her on stage for a duet performance.

Royal Tailor then shared its soul-heavy pop/rock tunes with the crowd, followed by a stunt performance by Peter Nestler and an electric set from Christian rock vets Kutless. Christian speaker Nick Hall challenged the masses from the Bible, embodying the two-fold purpose of Winterfest to provide top quality entertainment as well as challenge guests in their faith. In addition to speakers, group breakout sessions were offered for Christians to encourage one another in their faith.

Sundays slate wrapped up with a stellar performance by Liberty alumnus TobyMac, blending rock and hip-hop with no shortage of lights, stunts, and energy.

On New Year’s Eve, an even larger crowd packed the Vines, welcomed by rapper KJ-52. The early acts included fist-pumping jams from the alternative rock band Fireflight, contemporary worship from The Museum, and a passionate, rocking set by Building 429. Illusionist Brock Gill wowed the crowds before Christian rock heavy hitters RED took the stage. The explosive performance included pyrotechnics accompanying heavy riffs, pounding beats, and melodic hooks.

While the audiences hearts slowed from the pulse-pounding set, speaker Bob Lenz delivered a powerful Gospel presentation, reaching hearts on a spiritual level.

As midnight neared, Casting Crowns took the stage, sharing deep, spiritual lyrics to the beat of their contemporary rock sound. The crowds then bid adieu to 2012 and rang in 2013 with a roar of cheers as balloons and confetti rained from the Vines ceiling.

Winterfest 2012 was a huge success at Liberty University, said Matthew Hockensmith, Winterfest coordinator. Bob Lenz delivered a powerful message encouraging those in attendence to seek their identity, meaning, and purpose in Christ; not in what the world deems important. Over 200 people made first time decisions or recommitted their life to Christ.

Now that the 2012 ending celebration has passed, Hockensmith said he is already looking forward to Winterfest 2013, which will feature Skillet, Third Day, and many more marquee artists and speakers.

Liberty University, located in Lynchburg, Va., is the worlds largest Christian university. Nearly 100,000 students attend classes on its 6,800-acre residential campus and study in its thriving online education program.

EcoClean Celebrates One Year Anniversary of PROPS Community Giving Program and Selects HealthStart as their September Partner

Austin, TX (PRWEB) September 01, 2012

Today marks the one year anniversary of EcoCleans community giving program, PROPS. Over the last year they have raised $ 4700 for the following organizations: Hill Country Conservancy, SafePlace, Austin Lyric Opera, Austin Pets Alive, SOS, Project Transitions, Keep Austin Beautiful, Theater Action Project, Sustainable Food Center, Colorado River foundation, KOOP Radio, and Austin Film Society. Its our way of saying thank you, of showing proper respect we like to say, to the organizations fighting the good fight here in Austin. This town is just full of unsung heroes busy creating positive change. From water quality to fair access to the arts, the work our partners do is a critical in making Austin the great city it is, says Kerstin Shoberg, EcoClean Manager.

Through the PROPS program, EcoClean donates 5% of their sales every Wednesday to their partner of the month. Our customers make progressive choices for their health and the environment. The PROPS program is an extension of that pro-active spirit. We commit to giving the 5%, but its up to the broader community to come in with their cleaning and increase the donation, says Shoberg.

Starting this Wednesday, the September 5% will be donated to The HealthStart Foundation, a local organization dedicated to a healthier future through early childhood health and wellness curriculum. “HealthStart is working to create healthy communities through early health education by teaching pre-K kids the ABC’s of nutrition, exercise, wellness and body awareness. What children learn at an early age can positively influence choices they will make for the rest of their lives, which we hope will lead to healthier children, families and communities, says HealthStart executive director Robin Herskowitz. Individuals can contribute to the HealthStart vision by patronizing EcoClean any Wednesday this month.

“I’ve been going to EcoClean for years now, and just joined up with HealthStart a few months ago. It’s great to see my interests and values coming together in the community like this.”
